A few days ago, Cobelpa – the federation representing the paper and pulp sector in Belgium, and a valued member of inDUfed – organised its board and annual general assembly meetings in Virton, at Burgo Ardennes.
These meetings provided a valuable opportunity to take stock of the key challenges facing the sector, with insightful discussions focusing in particular on:
⚡ Energy: ensuring competitiveness in a context of necessary decarbonisation coupled with high and volatile energy costs
👥 Social affairs: addressing legislative updates, workforce dynamics and securing skills for the future
These exchanges once again highlighted the importance of strong collaborations across the sector in supporting a resilient and innovative industry.
The day continued with a visit of Burgo Ardennes’ mill, offering a concrete look at industrial excellence and the sector’s continuous transformation and improvement. Special thanks go to Dominique Poncelet for organising the meetings and the informative site visit and to Burgo Ardennes for the warm welcome.
We also warmly welcome and thank Cedric Djeuteu, who has now joined the board of Cobelpa. And finally, thank you to all members for their presence, contributions and engagement: Daniel Andrzejak, Victor Deboeck, Pierre Macharis and Jacky Dechamps.
