{"id":2361,"date":"2025-10-21T12:00:50","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T10:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indufed.be\/?p=2361"},"modified":"2025-11-05T14:35:58","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T13:35:58","slug":"visite-du-ministre-david-clarinval-au-agc-technovasion-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indufed.be\/en\/updates\/visite-du-ministre-david-clarinval-au-agc-technovasion-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Visit of minister David Clarinval to the AGC Technovasion Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How is the flat glass sector innovating for a sustainable future?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Mr. David Clarinval, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Employment, Economy, and Agriculture, for his visit to AGC&#8217;s Technovation Center in Gosselies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This meeting was an opportunity to highlight the concrete efforts of the flat glass sector in terms of sustainability, innovation, energy efficiency, and competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AGC Glass Europe is investing in ambitious projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flat glass recycling: continuous improvement of processes and recovery of end-of-life glass for enhanced circularity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrification and hybrid melting furnace: Volta pilot project with Saint-Gobain aimed at reducing CO2 emissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carbon capture: carbon neutrality solutions under study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These projects are essential to achieving climate goals. Their implementation and success depend on several key levers, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The time required for technological development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A reliable and competitive electricity supply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optimization of anti-dumping procedures<br>Thank you to AGC&#8217;s management and team for their welcome, in particular Davide Cappellino, and to all the experts present for their enriching discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How is the flat glass sector innovating for a sustainable future?
