{"id":2481,"date":"2026-03-03T16:41:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T15:41:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indufed.be\/?p=2481"},"modified":"2026-03-31T16:43:24","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T14:43:24","slug":"imprepack-cartonnages-imprimerie-winderickx-and-indufed-welcome-federal-minister-eleonore-simonet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indufed.be\/en\/updates\/imprepack-cartonnages-imprimerie-winderickx-and-indufed-welcome-federal-minister-eleonore-simonet\/","title":{"rendered":"Imprepack Cartonnages &amp; Imprimerie Winderickx and inDUfed Welcome Federal Minister El\u00e9onore Simonet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On March 3rd, inDUfed had the pleasure of welcoming Federal Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/el%C3%A9onore-simonet-253956220\/\">El\u00e9onore Simonet<\/a> to one of our Brussels-based SME members, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/imprepack-cartonnages-en-imprimerie-winderickx\/\">IMPREPACK Cartonnages &amp; Imprimerie<\/a> Winderickx, a family-owned business that has been active for several generations in food packaging\u2014particularly for Belgian pralines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This visit highlighted the daily reality of SMEs in the glass, paper, and cardboard sectors, which face a series of major challenges. We discussed the following topics in particular:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Administrative simplification: The proliferation of European requirements and their complex implementation in Belgium significantly burden administrative procedures, particularly for SMEs that lack the same resources as large corporations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical training: Due to a lack of suitable training programs, companies must train their own teams. With high labor costs, this investment is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International competitiveness: Several factors prevent the establishment of a true level playing field in Europe, notably higher energy and labor costs in Belgium compared to neighboring countries, as well as insufficient controls on low-cost imports from outside the EU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will continue to raise these concerns and actively advocate for the needs of our industrial SMEs, which are essential to our country\u2019s economic vitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On March 3rd, inDUfed had the pleasure of welcoming Federal Minister El\u00e9onore Simonet to one of our Brussels-based SME members, IMPREPACK Cartonnages &amp; Imprimerie Winderickx, a family-owned business that has been active for several generations in food packaging\u2014particularly for Belgian pralines.
