A platform for the glass, paper & board industries
InDUfed is a platform that brings together three Belgian industrial sectors: the production and transformation of glass, the production of pulp, paper and board and the processing of paper and board products.
Our members are active in Belgium and produce a wide range of products, from glass bottles, flat glass and insulation to cardboard packaging, graphic paper, and hygiene products.

Our mission
The COVID-19 pandemic and the energy crisis have exposed a number of challenges in our modern economy. We have seen firsthand how fragile yet essential our supply chains are. The drive to create a sustainable economy has never been stronger.
As the federation of Belgium’s glass, paper & board industries, inDUfed brings together companies committed to sustainability, innovation, and quality.
By working collaboratively, we aim to elevate the role of glass, and paper & board in a circular economy, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
We strive to create dynamic and responsible sectors that foster economic growth, environmental stewardship, and the continued evolution of glass, paper & board as essential materials for the future.
We advocate for the sectors, support industry-wide initiatives, and drive advancements that benefit both the environment and the economy. We do so at all policy levels, from regional and federal to European.
InDUfed is dedicated to advancing the interests of Belgium’s glass, paper & board industries through innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.
Our engagement
In 2020, inDUfed obtained the Ecodynamic Enterprise Label Level 2. The label rewards and supports Brussels-based companies, associations and institutions, from both the public and private sectors, that take action to reduce the impact of their activities on the environment.
The label recognises eco-management initiatives by rewarding their environmental performance on a three-level scale: one, two or three stars. It highlights initiatives such as waste prevention and the circular economy, rational energy use, good management of worker mobility and sustainable food.
Here are some of the ways that inDUfed commits every day to reducing its environmental impact:
- a consolidated and sustainable purchasing procedure wherever possible
- catering for meetings tailored to the number of participants and including vegetarian options
- reuse of old IT equipment
- energy-saving measures, particularly for lighting
